Can I dye my hair extensions?

Can I dye my hair extensions?
Many people have been wondering if it is ok to dye their hair extensions. Well some clues would be on what kind of extensions you want dyed. Some women have their extensions weaved into their hair, sewn in and even clipped in. Most of the time woman who have hair extensions permanently put in it by salon can dye their extensions along with their own natural hair. The reason is because when spending a lot of money at a hair salon putting in the extensions, the stylist will only use real human hair. They treat the hair extensions as if it is their own hair since it is attached to their head and doesn't come out until later. The real question is for women who prefer clip ins. Can you dye your clip in hair extensions? Well, the answer to this question depends on where you get your extensions and the quality of the hair. You can be sure when using high-end clip in hair extensions like "Celebrity Strands" or any other well-known company that the hair will be good enough quality that will be able to hold the dye. A lot of extensions made with synthetic or animal hairs will not take well to the dye. However, if you are sure that your clip ins are made from 100% human hair then you can be sure that it can take the dye just like your regular hair.
One thing to keep in mind is that if your human hair extensions are overly processed it might not be the best idea to dye them at all, especially more then one time. Even for the best quality clip ins, dying your extensions too much is not good. Your clip ins are dead hair, they are not attached to someone's head. You can get away with dyeing them or highlighting them once or twice but with excessive dyeing you will start to notice a drop of quality. Your hair might not seem as soft as it once was or as shiny.
Woman are constantly dying and highlighting their hair, and woman with clip in hair extensions want to make sure that they will match their new color and not stand out saying "Hello, yes I wear extensions." So when you get your hair dyed take your extensions with you. Your hair stylist will know what to do with them to make them match your new hair. If you notice that you have dyed your extensions too many times it might be best to just buy a new pair.

  1. I think there is no need to dye hair extensions because these extensions are available in all colors.

  3. I think people want to dye their extensions because they payed a lot for them and would rather dye it then having to go spend almost 100$ and over again for a new one. Its all about whether you have the money to buy a new pair or not. I sure dont so im giving my 100% human hair a try.
